Responsibilities
- Review Purchase Requests (PRs) and allocate requested items from existing warehouse inventory
- Maintain ongoing communication with the warehouse team to ensure existing materials are excluded from future purchase orders
- Conduct comprehensive surveys to identify potential market suppliers for unavailable items and bulk orders
- Contact suppliers to get price quotations and proposals and negotiate prices for needed items
- Evaluate suppliers' offers based on quality, price, payment terms, and delivery time
- Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) in a timely manner
- Conduct daily follow ups on both sent and received Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders
- Liaise with engineers to obtain precise specifications of required items
- Communicate with suppliers frequently to obtain new price lists
- Coordinate effectively with the logistics department to request transportation of materials
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- 3 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Proven experience in the UAE market
- Proven experience in the construction industry

Role Overview
- The Purchasing Officer is responsible for managing the procurement of construction materials, equipment, and subcontracted services to support project execution across UAE sites.
- The role involves sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, ensuring compliance with project specifications, budgets, and timelines.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- 3 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role is required.
- Proven experience in the UAE market is mandatory.
- Proven experience in the construction industry is required.
