Purchasing Coordinator with experience in the printing industry to manage day-to-day purchasing activities and ensure printing materials and supplies are available on time.
The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of printing materials, be comfortable dealing with suppliers, and have strong coordination and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the purchase of paper, printing materials, consumables and production supplies based on business and production requirements.
- Source and evaluate suppliers, request quotations and compare prices, quality and delivery timelines.
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive prices and suitable payment and delivery terms.
- Coordinate with the Production, Sales, Warehouse and Finance teams to understand requirements and ensure timely purchasing.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and maintain accurate purchasing records.
- Follow up with suppliers on orders, delivery schedules and any delays or shortages.
- Monitor stock levels of commonly used printing materials and coordinate timely replenishment.
- Check materials received against purchase orders and coordinate with the warehouse on any discrepancies.
- Maintain an updated supplier database and build good working relationships with vendors.
- Support cost control by identifying suitable suppliers and alternative materials where required.
- Ensure purchased materials meet the required specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain proper documentation for quotations, purchase orders, invoices and deliveries.
- Assist with resolving supplier-related issues, including quality, pricing and delivery concerns.
