Role Description
The Purchasing Assistant supports daily purchasing activities and ensures products, materials, and services are ordered accurately and according to business requirements.
The role supports purchase requests, supplier communication, purchase orders, order tracking, documentation, and coordination with internal teams.
Purchasing Activities
- Review purchasing requirements and prepare and process purchase orders.
- Request and organize supplier quotations, compare pricing and product specifications, and follow up on order confirmations.
- Monitor product availability, quantities, pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate purchasing data and support timely follow-up on purchasing requests.
Coordination and Records
- Coordinate with procurement, purchasing, finance, warehouse, inventory, logistics, operations, and suppliers.
- Maintain supplier and purchase order records and update ERP or purchasing systems.
- Check invoices and supporting documents, track deliveries, and assist with order changes, cancellations, returns, and discrepancies.
- Support supplier documentation, purchasing reports, price comparisons, and administrative activities.
