Role Overview
Source and procure goods and services for the company, with particular focus on food and beverage and seafood purchasing.
Work with buyers and suppliers to secure appropriate pricing, availability, and service quality.
Procurement Duties
- Review procurement documents and prepare orders.
- Negotiate supplier contracts and develop cost-reduction strategies.
- Develop and monitor inventory control procedures and purchasing policies.
- Manage vendors, monitor supplier performance, and meet with suppliers when needed.
- Evaluate enterprise-wide procurement requirements for products and services.
Purchasing and Operations
- Develop relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Track and schedule purchase orders for materials, equipment, and personnel.
- Open new supplier accounts as needed.
- Track inventory levels and manage purchasing activities.
- Review supplier proposals and invoices and manage claims and losses.
- Coordinate with staff, operations personnel, and outside agencies to ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and services.
