Role Overview
The Purchase Manager manages end-to-end procurement for construction and interior fit-out projects.
The role is responsible for timely material availability, competitive pricing, quality, vendor performance, project budgets, and schedules.
The position covers Mumbai and project sites and reports to project, commercial, or company leadership.
Project Procurement
- Review BOQs, drawings, specifications, material schedules, and project requirements.
- Prepare project-wise procurement plans and trackers.
- Identify long-lead materials and initiate procurement in advance.
- Ensure materials are available at site according to the project execution schedule.
- Coordinate material requirements with project, design, QS, estimation, and billing teams.
Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors, manufacturers, and subcontractors.
- Obtain and compare multiple quotations and conduct technical and commercial evaluations.
- Carry out vendor, factory, or site due diligence where required.
- Negotiate rates, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and other commercial terms.
