- Minimum 8 years of experience in Occupational Health and Safety in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Industry
- Thorough knowledge of safe work practices, international standards and HSE procedures
- Competent in use of PC including Microsoft Office

Role Overview
- Airswift is a Global Manpower Provider specialising in Energy, Infrastructure & IT sectors.
- We are working with a national operator to source a Project Safety Officer for a long term contract role in Qatar.
Experience Required
- Responsible for providing technical HSE services to client during definition and execution stages.
- Support and maintain strong safety culture in line with client vision.
- Ensure contractor compliance with project HSE plans.
- Identify and implement risk mitigation measures.
- Participate in reviewing method statements, JSAs, safety certifications.
- Monitor site HSE programs and safe work practices.
- Prepare statistical and trend analysis reports.
- Ensure adherence to HSE regulations and policies.
- Conduct daily inspection and ensure compliance with JSA, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, PTW.
- Provide support to Sr. HSE Engineer in implementing HSE performance monitoring.
- Implement client Environment Management System.
- Monitor HSE Legal requirements.
Qualifications
- University Degree (Bachelor’s Degree or Higher, preferably in Engineering discipline)
- Accredited HSE Professional Certificate (e.g. NEBOSH IGC level 3 or higher)
- Associate membership of recognized safety institution is preferable (e.g. IOSH, IIRSM)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Occupational Health and Safety in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Industry
- Preference for strong experience in Greenfield and Brownfield Construction projects
- Thorough knowledge of safe work practices, international standards (e.g. ISO 45001:2018) and HSE procedures
- Familiar with international standards in Occupational health, Safety and Environmental Management System
- Trained in Incident Investigation Software (e.g. Taproot, SafetyCulture, EasyRCA, Tripod Beta)
- Competent in use of PC including Microsoft Office and other relevant software
- Experience in GCC is desirable
