Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and coordinate detailed shutdown execution plans and schedules.
- Ensure all shutdown activities are properly sequenced and aligned with project timelines and client requirements.
- Lead the execution of shutdown operations, ensuring activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and within schedule.
- Plan and manage SIMOPS activities, ensuring safe coexistence of concurrent operations.
- Identify SIMOPS risks and implement mitigation strategies in coordination with HSE teams.
- Facilitate SIMOPS meetings and ensure compliance with approved procedures and guidelines.
- Act as the focal point between operations, maintenance, contractors, and project teams.
- Monitor and control PTW systems during shutdown execution.
- Identify critical tasks and prioritize shutdown activities based on operational requirements and risk assessments.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and logistics for shutdown execution.
- Track shutdown progress against planned schedules and KPIs.
- Support safe and efficient plant startup post shutdown.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE / BTech – Mechanical is mandatory)
- 8 to 12 years of experience in oil & gas industry
- Proven experience in shutdown planning and execution
- Proven experience in SIMOPS coordination in live operating environments
- Experience in brownfield or operational facilities (preferred in Qatar or GCC)
- Experience working on large scale EPC projects or with major operators is highly desirable
