Job Summary
The Project Planning Engineer will manage project schedules, monitor progress, and coordinate departments to support on-time project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Monitor planned versus actual project progress.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and look-ahead schedules.
- Monitor critical paths, milestones, and project deadlines.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, fabrication, QA/QC, logistics, and site teams.
- Identify delays, constraints, and schedule deviations and support recovery plans and corrective actions.
- Prepare S-Curves, progress reports, and KPI reports.
- Provide regular project status updates to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Three to seven years of experience in project planning or scheduling.
- Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Excel.
- Experience in steel, fabrication, PEB, EPC, industrial, or oil and gas projects is preferred.
- Good communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
Work Location
- The work location is in person.
