Overview

  • We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with strong Retail Banking domain expertise to lead end to end delivery of complex banking transformation initiatives.
  • Location: Doha, Qatar.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end to end delivery of retail banking transformation programs, including digital banking, core banking enhancements, and channel integration initiatives.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success metrics in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Drive project execution using industry standard methodologies (Agile / Waterfall / Hybrid).
  • Coordinate cross functional teams including business analysts, developers, QA teams, and external vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations, internal governance, and audit requirements.
  • Track project progress, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
  • Manage stakeholder communication, reporting, and escalation management.
  • Oversee testing cycles including UAT and ensure successful production deployment.
  • Drive change management and user adoption across business units.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8–12+ years of experience in IT Project Management.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the Retail Banking domain.
  • Strong experience delivering banking transformation projects such as Digital Banking, Core Banking Systems, Payments and Cards Systems, Customer Onboarding/KYC Solutions.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and project management methodologies.
  • Proven experience managing large scale enterprise programs.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working with vendors and third party implementation partners.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and problem solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP / PRINCE2 certification preferred.
  • Experience in GCC banking projects is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of banking regulatory frameworks and compliance standards.
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, MS Project, or similar PM tools.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and team coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in high pressure environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and delivery focus.
