Role overview
Lead and manage rack-level system deployment projects for Supermicro server, storage, and networking solutions.
Serve as the primary customer contact and manage technical deployment workflows in dynamic data center environments.
Perform on-site hardware troubleshooting, maintenance, and service desk support when active deployment projects are unavailable.
Essential duties
- Lead the full lifecycle of rack-level system deployment projects and ensure timely, successful delivery.
- Define project scopes, draft Statements of Work, and calculate resource and timeline requirements.
- Manage customer communications, expectations, and alignment throughout deployment.
- Independently manage service workflows and respond to technical challenges.
- Perform on-site hardware troubleshooting, maintenance, and service desk ticket handling when needed.
Field deployment activities
- Observe and manage safe, precise movement of server racks within the data center floor.
- Identify and resolve hardware-level failures during deployment.
- Unpack systems, perform rack stacking and rack-mount operations, and integrate servers.
