About the Role
Siemens seeks a Project Manager for RTU & Communications in Abu Dhabi to deliver substation and utility automation projects. The role involves managing P&L, coordinating RTU integration to DMS/ADMS, and ensuring compliance with PMP standards.

Responsibilities
- Deliver RTU, communications, and DMS/ADMS integration projects from kick off through handover and closure
- Own project P&L including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, margin protection, and cash flow support
- Manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk, ensuring compliance with contractual and Siemens PM@S requirements
- Coordinate RTU integration to DMS/ADMS, including communications readiness and interface dependencies
- Govern RTU communications activities including FO, wireless links, and alignment on communication redundancy concepts
- Coordinate and negotiate with suppliers, managing procurement activities
- Prepare and submit project progress documentation, track claims and variations
- Act as primary interface with TAQA, EPCs, and subcontractors
- Drive proactive risk and change management to prevent scope creep
- Ensure compliance with Quality, EHS, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Communication Engineering
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager
- Proven experience in utility automation, turnkey, or EPC projects (UAE preferred)
- Strong hands on understanding of RTU systems and communication media used in power utilities
- TAQA approved Project Manager and TAQA competency preferred
- Experience with substation activities including testing, interfaces, and operational readiness
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders
- PMP and/or Siemens PM@S certification preferred
- Fluency in English is mandatory

About the Role

- As a Project Manager – RTU & Communications, responsible for end to end delivery of substation and utility automation projects in UAE.
- Focus on RTU systems, communication networks, and DMS/ADMS integration for customers such as TAQA Distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver RTU, communications, and DMS/ADMS integration projects from kick off through handover and closure including warranty.
- Own project P&L including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, margin protection, and cash flow support.
- Manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk, ensuring compliance with contractual and Siemens PM@S requirements.
- Coordinate RTU integration to DMS/ADMS, including communications readiness, interface dependencies, and site execution.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Communication Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in utility automation, turnkey, or EPC projects (UAE preferred).
- Strong hands on understanding of RTU systems and communication media used in power utilities.
- TAQA approved Project Manager and TAQA competency preferred.
- Experience with substation activities including testing, interfaces, and operational readiness.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders (customer, EPC, internal engineering, and site teams).
- PMP and/or Siemens PM@S certification preferred.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
