PROJECT MANAGER

Position Purpose

Project Planning and Execution

• Oversee all project phases against approved milestones, deliverables, timelines and operational constraints.
• Develop schedules covering tender durations, system requirements, procurement lead times, dependencies, critical paths and contingencies.
• Maintain comprehensive project management documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Governance and Controls

• Implement project governance frameworks and coordinate steering, operational, HSEQ, finance, contracts and progress meetings.
• Maintain project records, version control and a centralised digital documentation system.
• Track schedules, action plans, forecasts, risks, issues, decisions, changes and corrective actions.

Stakeholders and Reporting

• Serve as the primary contact for internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, vendors and management.
• Provide progress updates, KPI reports, executive summaries and management presentations.
• Coordinate with the landlord on design, construction, authority approvals, handover and contractual obligations.

Risk, Compliance and Sustainability

• Manage project risks, mitigation measures, contingency plans and timely escalation of critical issues.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, HSE policies and corporate governance mandates.
• Integrate sustainability and workplace optimisation initiatives focused on emissions reduction and energy efficiency.

Procurement and Contracts

• Manage procurement and tendering, technical evaluations, contractor selection, vendor performance and long-lead items.
• Review and manage contracts, amendments, variation orders, claims and Extension of Time requests.
• Monitor contractor compliance with contractual, technical and manpower commitments.

Close-Out and Handover

• Conduct site inspections and verify progress, specifications, certifications, warranties and quality standards.
• Manage close-out documentation, operational readiness, lessons learned and successful handover.

Working Environment

• The role is primarily office-based but requires regular site visits during design, construction, fit-out, relocation and handover.
• The position involves active construction environments, contractor and landlord coordination, external meetings and project governance forums.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Project Management or a related discipline is required.
• PMP certification or an equivalent project management qualification is mandatory.
• At least 10 years of relevant project management experience and leadership of complex, large-scale projects are required.
• Major capital project delivery experience in Qatar and full lifecycle experience are required.
• Experience with projects exceeding 25,000 square metres is preferred.
• Strong project governance, controls, commercial management, communication, analytical and decision-making skills are required.
