Role Overview
The Project Engineer will coordinate and supervise engineering and construction activities for high-rise building projects.
The role ensures work follows approved drawings, specifications, schedules, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
The role coordinates closely with the Project Manager, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate engineering activities and ensure work is planned, resourced, and executed according to the project programme and approved designs.
- Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents for site teams.
- Ensure work complies with approved designs, specifications, and quality standards and resolve deviations or non-conformities.
- Coordinate technical requirements, progress updates, and issues across project interfaces.
- Track progress against schedules and milestones and implement corrective actions for delays or bottlenecks.
- Provide technical guidance to site teams and resolve engineering queries and issues.
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements before site execution.
High-Rise Construction Experience
- Relevant experience may include reinforced concrete high-rise structures.
- Relevant experience may include deep foundations, piling, raft foundations, and basement construction.
- Relevant experience may include columns, shear walls, core walls, slabs, beams, and transfer structures.
- Relevant experience may include formwork systems and repetitive floor-cycle construction.
- Relevant experience may include tower crane and material hoist coordination.
- Relevant experience may include concrete pouring and quality control.
- Relevant experience may include façade and curtain-wall coordination.
- Relevant experience may include architectural and finishing works.
- Relevant experience may include MEP coordination and builder's work requirements.
- Relevant experience may include BIM/model coordination and clash resolution.
- Relevant experience may include vertical transportation and specialist systems coordination.
- Relevant experience may include high-rise construction logistics and site planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Typically five to eight years of relevant construction experience, preferably including high-rise building projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, drawings, specifications, and engineering practices.
- Experience working with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Good knowledge of QA/QC and HSE requirements.
Workplace and Employment
- Full-time employment.
- Work location is in person.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 10,000 to AED 12,000 per month.
