About the role

Lead end-to-end delivery of a four-star hotel development in a remote location.

Act as the owner’s on-site representative from tendering through construction and handover.

Combine project management, financial oversight, contractor management, and stakeholder relations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead tendering, prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, and negotiate construction contracts.
  • Select and manage contractors, subcontractors, and specialist suppliers.
  • Report project progress to developers, investors, ownership, and the board.
  • Secure permits, licences, utility connections, and regulatory approvals.
  • Control budgets, cash flow, cost-to-complete, variances, and change orders.
  • Monitor construction schedule, quality, safety, delays, and site issues.
  • Coordinate remote-site materials, utilities, temporary infrastructure, and workforce accommodation.
  • Coordinate with hotel brand technical services when applicable.
  • Identify and mitigate financial, regulatory, and operational risks.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of hospitality or resort development or construction project management experience.
  • At least one completed hotel or resort project.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience managing projects in remote or logistically challenging locations.
  • Experience running competitive tenders and negotiating construction contracts.
  • Government permitting, licensing, and regulatory approval experience.
  • Strong financial acumen with construction budgets, cost control, and development pro formas.
  • PMP, RICS/MRICS, or equivalent certification is advantageous.
  • International hotel brand standards experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to be based on-site in a remote location for the project duration.
