Job Purpose

  • Lead the execution of project controls functions across the assigned projects, ensuring cost, schedule, and performance data are accurately monitored, reported and managed.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of project and contractor’s performance data and provide insights for effective decision making and risk mitigation to meet Company’s objectives and support the needs of stakeholders and shareholders.

Job Context

  • Understand the key project drivers, define roles and responsibilities, develop communication protocols, identify, develop and implement project procedures for reporting, cost control and planning/scheduling
  • Identify elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims, communicate and influence across the organisation to ensure delivery of project within the agreed timeframe
  • Major challenges are (1) completing detailed assessments of project controls, cost, schedule and recovery/rectification plans, in short deadlines and a high pressure environment and (2) developing and sustaining relationships with EPC Contractor Project Controls personnel throughout project executio

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Sciences or Engineering.
  • 8 years experience in multiple project functions and assignments, e.g., project management, engineering, construction, procurement, etc. in the Oil & Gas Industry including 1 year experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles or oversight of contractor/sub contractors/service/vendor perso

Technical Skills

  • Experience with Oil & Gas Companies, EPC contractors, sub contractors, vendors or service companies involved in the oil and gas industry.
  • Knowledge in project business related function/discipline such as planning, scheduling, cost control, estimating, claim management, risk management, change management, procurement, pre and post award contract management, actionable and informative reporting, support services, lessons learned, etc.
  • Knowledge in international standards, best practices and methodologies as it relates to business disciplines.
  • SME level competence in candidate's specific business discipline.
  • Knowledge of relevant business processes/procedures.
  • Experience with risk assessment approach in decision making.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant software and computer skills, e.g., dashboards, data analytics, SAP, etc.
  • Experience supporting large scale integrated operating and executing organizations, such as Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc.
