Project Controls Lead

Job Purpose

Project Controls Responsibilities

• Lead project controls processes, systems, procedures, and reporting requirements.
• Develop integrated programmes, schedules, cost plans, forecasts, and performance baselines.
• Monitor scope, budget, schedule, milestones, KPIs, progress, delays, critical path impacts, and delivery risks.
• Coordinate cost control for budgets, commitments, expenditure, forecasts, and Estimate at Completion.
• Develop dashboards, progress reports, performance metrics, and executive project controls information.
• Manage change control and assess impacts on cost, schedule, and project performance.
• Support Extension of Time, delay, and recovery programme assessments.
• Coordinate with project management, commercial, contracts, risk, procurement, technical, and construction teams.
• Review contractor and consultant reports, schedules, forecasts, and project controls submissions.
• Maintain project controls records, baselines, approvals, and audit trails.
• Lead and mentor planning, cost control, and project controls team members.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10–12 years of relevant project controls experience on large-scale and complex projects.
• Strong experience in real estate development, construction, infrastructure, or major project environments.
• Extensive experience in planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, progress measurement, and performance reporting.
• Advanced knowledge of project controls and scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, plus strong Excel and reporting systems proficiency.
• Professional certification such as PMP, PMI-SP, AACE, or equivalent is advantageous.
