- Monitor and record all project related expenditures (materials, subcontractors, labor, equipment, logistics)
- Maintain accurate cost tracking sheets aligned with the project budget and BOQ
- Support the QS in preparing cost impact assessments for design changes, variations, and additional works
- Assist in preparing monthly cost reports and financial summaries for management
- Track approved and pending variations, claims, and change orders
- Review subcontractor invoices, delivery notes, and payment applications
- Monitor budget consumption and highlight deviations to the Project Manager
- Assist in preparing cash flow forecasts and monthly financial projections
- Maintain organized financial records, invoices, receipts, and supporting documents
- Prepare documentation required for audits, client reporting, and internal reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 5 8 years of experience in project accounting within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of cost control, invoicing, procurement processes, and project financial reporting
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Strong coordination, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced site environment and meet deadlines
- GCC or international project experience
- Familiarity with QS workflows, planning schedules, and procurement cycles

Role Overview
- The Project Accountant will manage all financial, cost tracking, and documentation activities related to the residential project.
- The role requires strong coordination with the QS, Project Manager, Planning Engineer, Procurement, and site teams to ensure accurate reporting, proper cost control, and compliance with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and record all project‑related expenditures (materials, subcontractors, labor, equipment, logistics).
- Maintain accurate cost‑tracking sheets aligned with the project budget and BOQ.
- Support the QS in preparing cost impact assessments for design changes, variations, and additional works.
- Assist in preparing monthly cost reports and financial summaries for management.
- Work closely with the QS to verify quantities, variations, and commercial submissions.
- Track approved and pending variations, claims, and change orders.
- Update cost logs, variation registers, and commercial trackers.
- Support the preparation of EOT and claim documentation from a financial perspective.
- Review subcontractor invoices, delivery notes, and payment applications.
- Verify quantities and rates in coordination with QS and site engineers.
- Maintain records of contracts, purchase orders, and payment certificates.
- Follow up on pending approvals and ensure timely processing of payments.

- Monitor budget consumption and highlight deviations to the Project Manager.
- Assist in preparing cash‑flow forecasts and monthly financial projections.
- Track procurement commitments and long‑lead item expenditures.
- Support the Planner in aligning financial forecasts with project schedules.
- Maintain organized financial records, invoices, receipts, and supporting documents.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and project procedures.
- Prepare documentation required for audits, client reporting, and internal reviews.
- Support preparation of final accounts and project close‑out financial packages.
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for the Project Manager.
- Provide cost data and financial insights during coordination meetings.
- Communicate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments regarding financial matters.
- Highlight financial risks, pending approvals, and cost exposures.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in project accounting within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of cost control, invoicing, procurement processes, and project financial reporting.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong coordination, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced site environment and meet deadlines.
