About the Role

Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality 1:1 English instruction to students via live, online sessions on the Filo platform
- Explain concepts in English language and literature, support students with reading, writing, grammar, and critical analysis
- Tailor instruction to different levels and curricula
- Design and refine lesson approaches, recommend resources, and use digital tools to create engaging learning experiences
- Provide timely academic doubt resolution and give constructive feedback on student work
- Maintain accurate session notes where required
- Collaborate with the academic team to align with Filo’s standards of teaching quality and student satisfaction

- Strong English Teaching and Teaching skills
- Expertise in English Literature and Literature
- Ability in Curriculum Development
- Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English
- Experience teaching online or in virtual classrooms
- Master’s degree or higher in English, English Literature, Education, or a closely related field preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting

Role Description
- Deliver high quality 1:1 English instruction to students via live, online sessions on the Filo platform.
- Explain concepts in English language and literature, supporting students with reading, writing, grammar, and critical analysis.
- Tailor instruction to different levels and curricula.
- Design and refine lesson approaches, recommend resources, and use digital tools to create engaging, interactive learning experiences.
- Provide timely academic doubt resolution, give constructive feedback on student work, and maintain accurate session notes where required.
- Collaborate with the academic team to align with Filo’s standards of teaching quality and student satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong English Teaching and Teaching skills, with experience facilitating clear, engaging, and student centered instruction.
- Expertise in English Literature and Literature, including major periods, genres, authors, and critical approaches.
- Ability in Curriculum Development, including designing lesson plans, learning objectives, assessments, and supplemental materials.
- Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English, with excellent communication, feedback, and explanation skills.
- Experience teaching online or in virtual classrooms, with comfort using digital platforms and educational technology.
- Master’s degree or higher in English, English Literature, Education, or a closely related field preferred; relevant teaching certifications are an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and support learners from diverse backgrounds.
