Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for the Head of Science at Filo.

The role involves designing and refining science curriculum, mentoring and supporting tutors in the field, conducting research to enhance lesson delivery, and ensuring the highest quality of educational content.

The Head of Science will also analyze learning outcomes, contribute to strategic educational initiatives, and set a standard of excellence for science education across the platform.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Science subjects, particularly Physics
  • Experience in Teaching and Education with a strong ability to engage and mentor learners
  • Proven skills in Research and Curriculum Development
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide and mentor tutors
  • Commitment to Filo’s mission of democratising education and improving student learning worldwide
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Physics, or a related field; teaching certifications are a plus
