- Plan all production activities to deliver the production plan on time and within budget

- Audit and monitor the operating system (SOS) and lead CI and Lean activities
- Ensure adherence to product quality rules and parameters
- Recruit, select, train, and manage performance of production staff
- Ensure safe operating practices and adherence to health and safety policies
- Participate in safety and quality audits and complete action plans

Purpose
- Lead and optimize all aspects of production from mixing, processing, filling and palletizing in accordance with SADAFCO's standards and international best practices to achieve production output in the most cost effective and efficient way.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the approved production strategy so as to meet the goals of the factory and the overall business strategy.
- Plan all production activities so as to deliver the production plan of the factory as per time and budget targets.
- Identify bottlenecks within the production process and report the same. Thereafter ensure that all bottlenecks are resolved through laid down problem solving methodologies with the relevant production team members.
- Regular analysis of Production Performance Data whereby development, trends and improvement opportunities are identified and communicated internally using visual management standards to the production and the factory management team.
- Continuously improve standards set by facilitating and executing appropriate methodologies as per Continuous Improvement principles.
- Regularly Audit and monitor the operating system (SOS) and take the lead for Continuous Improvement and Lean activities.
- Strictly follow company product quality rules and ensure all the staff adherence to the parameters.
People Management
- Recruit and select the right staff in line with company's policies.
- Build team skills through skills assessment, training, feedback, manage on going performance of direct reports and identify those who have the ability to progress and develop.
- Lead the production team to ensure that they are engaged and high performing with a focus on problem solving and team work.
- Manage the availability and efficient use of labor according to the production plan.
Health & Safety
- Ensure safe operating practices by ensuring all Health and Safety policies and procedures are in place and are strictly adhered to.
- Personally demonstrate the correct safety behaviors. Review all “Accident” and “Near Miss” Investigation reports and review the corrective actions taken as per the company's health & safety policy.
- Participate in safety and quality audits ensuring all non conformances are documented. Take responsibility for completing the Action Plans as a result of the audits. Regularly perform shift audits and monitor the performance.
- Ensure that risk assessments are completed and actioned as per the laid down policy & procedures.
- Support a culture in the team that enhances behavioral awareness so as to reduce accidents and near misses.
Quality Management
- Responsible for quality control as per company's standards in order to make adjustments as necessary.
- Reject products that are produced outside of the set product specifications.
- Take corrective action to achieve first time right at all times and at all levels.
Skills
- Time management.
