Role Overview

Manage and continuously enhance technology products in the Flight Operations and Crew Management domain.

Maintain a prioritized product backlog and deliver initiatives through the Route to LIVE deployment process.

Bridge airline operational requirements and technical IT execution across diverse stakeholders.

Accountabilities

  • Own technology project planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery across flight and crew operations.
  • Manage products involving flight planning, weight and balance, fuel optimization, crew pairing, rostering, tracking, and fatigue management.
  • Translate operational requirements into technical solutions with architects, developers, and vendors.
  • Manage scope, dependencies, risks, roadblocks, budgets, and operational continuity.
  • Coordinate technical teams and stakeholders across flight operations, crew scheduling, and fleet management.
  • Present change records and release readiness assessments at Change Advisory Board meetings.
  • Manage deployments through Route to LIVE and support change, incident, and release management.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum five years of experience in the airline or aviation industry.
  • Knowledge of flight operations and crew management systems.
  • Experience with IT governance, change management, and regulatory environments.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies, APIs, and modern enterprise architectures.

Tools and Skills

  • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Power BI, Smartsheet, and related delivery tools.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
  • SAFe, PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certifications are preferred.

Regulatory and Delivery Context

Technology changes must comply with corporate governance, cybersecurity policies, and FAA, EASA, and GCAA aviation requirements.

Regular project, budget, risk, and executive status reporting is required.
