Solutions Architect - Airline Systems

Synopsis

Accountabilities

• Defines and governs solution architectures for operational capabilities and transformation initiatives.
• Designs solutions across Flight Operations, Technical, Training, and Network Operations.
• Architects integrations between operational systems, enterprise platforms, and third-party solutions.
• Enables real-time visibility and automation through event-driven architecture, monitoring, analytics, and workflows.
• Ensures operational data is secure, governed, and accessible for reporting, analytics, AI, and automation.
• Translates operational priorities into technology roadmaps and solution designs.
• Evaluates technology and vendor solutions for scalability, interoperability, and cost objectives.
• Provides architectural leadership and technical assurance to delivery, engineering, product, and vendor teams.
• Maintains architecture artifacts including solution designs, capability maps, data flows, integration models, and roadmaps.
• Manages architecture risks, technical debt, dependencies, and standardization opportunities.
• Promotes AI, machine learning, and intelligent automation where they provide measurable business value.
• Establishes architecture guardrails for agile delivery and collaborates across business and technology functions.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in solution, application, or enterprise architecture.
• Experience designing technology solutions for airline operations and related supporting systems.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, microservices, application integration, and modern integration architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, including data, streaming, and AI capabilities.
• Hands-on experience using AI, automation, APIs, low-code platforms, and cloud technologies for prototypes and proof of concepts.
• Experience applying enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
• Experience working in Agile and/or SAFe delivery environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
