Role Overview

The Product Manager – Airport Operations Technology will define and deliver technology capabilities supporting airport operations across Etihad’s global network.

The role focuses on Amadeus Customer Management, airport system enhancements, station start-ups, and operational readiness.

The role translates operational priorities into a product roadmap and manages safe, efficient implementation with minimal disruption.

Accountabilities

  • Own the roadmap, backlog, and delivery plan for airport operations technology products.
  • Lead upgrades, enhancements, configuration changes, regulatory updates, and technology releases.
  • Define requirements and prioritize initiatives with Airport Operations stakeholders.
  • Coordinate ORAT for airport openings, station start-ups, migrations, and operational changes.
  • Manage technology readiness, testing, stakeholder alignment, and cutover preparedness.
  • Interface with Airport Operations, Digital Technology, Amadeus, airport authorities, ground handlers, and vendors.
  • Manage schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, and readiness activities across global stations.
  • Collaborate on product features, releases, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Support UAT, operational trials, go-live, hypercare, and continuous service improvement.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, operational constraints, vendor dependencies, and stakeholder issues.

Education and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Product Management, Technology Delivery, Airport Operations Technology, or Aviation Systems is required.
  • Professional certifications including CSPO, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum Master are preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of airport operations and passenger processing systems is required.
  • Experience with airport system upgrades, station launches, migrations, or operational readiness initiatives is required.
  • Experience collaborating with airlines, airport authorities, ground handlers, and technology vendors is required.
  • Proficiency with Agile and delivery tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Microsoft Project, or equivalent platforms is required.
  • Strong analytical, planning, stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and relationship management capabilities are required.

Core Domain Knowledge

  • Relevant airport systems include check-in, boarding, baggage management, disruption handling, ground handling, ORAT, and operational readiness.
  • The role requires the ability to manage complex dependencies and make data-driven decisions.
