Overview

  • We are seeking a highly skilled **Calypso Product Engineer** with strong expertise in treasury and capital markets systems.
  • The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with **Calypso architecture, APIs, and trade lifecycle**, along with solid programming skills in **Java** and database experience in **Oracle**.
  • **Key Responsibilities*** Design, develop, and support solutions within the **Calypso platform**
  • Work closely with front office, middle office, and back office teams to implement business requirements
  • Customize and enhance Calypso modules including **Workstation, Pricing Sheets, and workflows**
  • Develop and integrate **Calypso APIs and REST-based services**
  • Handle **trade lifecycle processes** including trade capture, validation, settlement, accounting, and reporting
  • Work on **scheduled tasks, engines, and batch processing**
  • Collaborate on **real-time integrations** using **FIX / Kafka**
  • Provide support for system enhancements, upgrades, and production issues
  • **Required Skills & Experience*** Minimum **5+ years of hands-on experience with Calypso**
  • Strong understanding of **Calypso architecture and APIs**
  • Solid experience in **Core Java development**
  • Good working knowledge of **Oracle Database (SQL/PL-SQL)**
  • Experience with **REST API frameworks and integrations**
  • Strong understanding of **trade lifecycle in capital markets**
  • Experience with **front office modules** (Calypso Workstation, Pricing Sheets)
  • **Domain Knowledge*** Strong understanding of **Equity products**
  • Good exposure to **Treasury products**, including:
  • + FX / Money Markets (MM)
  • + Bonds
  • + Repo

+ Credit Default Swaps (CDS)

  • **Additional (Good to Have)*** Experience with **Calypso Risk / ERS modules**
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as **SA-CCR, FRTB**
  • Familiarity with **real-time data streaming (Kafka)**
  • **Soft Skills*** Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
