Role Summary
The Procurement Program Lead supports continuous improvement of material availability and cross-functional communication across procurement-related processes.
The role identifies systemic issues affecting material flow, analyzes production risks, and recommends process improvements.
The role provides visibility into material readiness and production continuity without direct supervisory or purchasing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor production and material-readiness data to identify trends and gaps affecting schedule adherence.
- Flag high-risk items and recurring constraints for resolution by the Procurement Manager and stakeholders.
- Maintain dashboards and trackers that support transparency across teams.
- Facilitate communication among production, planning, procurement, and quality functions.
- Support resolution efforts for part-availability issues without directing union employees.
- Attend planning and readiness meetings and share procurement updates.
- Document systemic issues affecting supply flow and participate in root-cause analysis.
- Recommend workflow improvements affecting procurement cycle times.
- Maintain procurement procedure, tool, and escalation-path documentation.
