About the Role
We are looking for a Procurement & Purchasing Officer to develop and expand our supplier network in the UAE and GCC for a restaurant group. Responsibilities include supplier evaluation, negotiation, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

- Develop and expand supplier network across UAE and GCC
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers for food, packaging, equipment, maintenance, and operational requirements
- Maintain at least two approved suppliers for every critical product category
- Conduct supplier evaluations based on quality, food safety compliance, pricing, delivery performance, capacity, and service standards
- Work with Operations and Quality teams to approve new products through sampling and trials
- Monitor market trends, attend industry exhibitions, negotiate strategic supply agreements
- Develop contingency suppliers to reduce procurement risks
- Achieve annual cost saving targets and ensure compliance with UAE food safety and municipality regulations
Requirements
- Strong, well established network of suppliers within the UAE restaurant and food industry
- Experience in supplier evaluation and qualification
- Knowledge of UAE food safety and municipality regulations
- Ability to negotiate strategic supply agreements
- Experience in achieving cost saving targets

Job Description
- The Procurement & Purchasing Officer shall be responsible for continuously developing and expanding Al Farooj's supplier network across the UAE and GCC to ensure competitive pricing, consistent product quality, and uninterrupted supply.
Responsibilities
- Identifying, evaluating, and qualifying new suppliers for all food, packaging, equipment, maintenance, and operational requirements.
- Maintaining at least two approved suppliers for every critical product category.
- Conducting supplier evaluations based on quality, food safety compliance, pricing, delivery performance, capacity, and service standards.
- Working closely with the Operations and Quality teams to approve new products through sampling and trials.
- Monitoring market trends, attending industry exhibitions, negotiating strategic supply agreements.
- Developing contingency suppliers to reduce procurement risks.
- Achieving annual cost saving targets and ensuring full compliance with UAE food safety and municipality regulations.
Requirements
- A strong, well established network of suppliers within the UAE restaurant and food industry is essential for this position.
Pay
- AED 4,000.00 AED 6,000.00 per month
