Qatar Airways is seeking a Procurement Officer for its Procurement & Logistics team in Doha.
The role supports global aviation fuel operations by coordinating fuel requirements, monitoring suppliers, and supporting uninterrupted network supply.
The position covers fuel procurement, supplier management, contract administration, tenders, market analysis, and commercial negotiations.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate specifications and support procurement sourcing activities.
- Negotiate supplier costs and commercial terms for low- to medium-value goods and services.
- Resolve delays and other operational procurement issues.
- Maintain purchase orders, item codes, and procurement records.
- Administer tender documentation, approvals, validation checks, and system records.
- Prepare reporting data, provide tender updates, and support sourcing strategies.
- Maintain records for compliance and audit requirements.
- Ensure compliance with procurement processes, Delegation of Authority, and company policies.
Qualifications
- High school, vocational qualification, diploma, or equivalent with at least four years of job-related experience.
- Alternatively, a bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least three years of job-related experience.
- Airline, Middle East, or category-specific experience is required.
- Airline procurement experience, fluent English, and strong communication and negotiation skills are preferred.
- Numeracy, planning, problem-solving, decision-making, attention to detail, and business acumen are preferred.
