The role supports procurement and purchasing activities for building materials.
The position requires experience in the building materials industry and knowledge of supplier coordination, purchase orders, quotations, and inventory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Purchase Department in sourcing and purchasing building materials.
- Coordinate with suppliers on quotations, prices, availability, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and purchase requests.
- Compare supplier quotations and assist with price and payment-term negotiations.
- Maintain records of suppliers, quotations, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Coordinate with warehouse and sales teams to understand material requirements.
- Follow up with suppliers on pending orders and deliveries.
- Ensure purchased materials meet required quality and specifications.
Work Location
- The work location is in person.
Requirements
- Experience in the building materials industry.
- Good knowledge of building materials.
- Knowledge of supplier coordination, purchase orders, quotations, and inventory requirements.
- Ability to compare supplier quotations and assist with negotiating prices and payment terms.
