Position Overview:
The Procurement Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and delivering all procurement activities for the IMP Aerostructures manufacturing operation. This role ensures the timely acquisition of raw materials, components, and services required to support production while optimizing costs, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and company policies.
What You Will Do:
- Lead, mentor, and develop purchasing and procurement personnel.
- Establish performance goals and conduct employee evaluations.
- Promote continuous improvement and best practices within the procurement team.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to support manufacturing operations.
- Source, evaluate, negotiate, and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery, and payment terms - and issue purchase orders, contracts, and service agreements to achieve cost savings and meet operational requirements.
- Monitor MRP messages / requisitions with buyers to ensure items are purchased on a timely basis to meet the requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost competitiveness.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing requirements.
- Develop strategies to minimize stock shortages, excess inventory, and obsolete materials.
- Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality or delivery requirements.
