Role Overview
EMAR Saudi for Energy Works is hiring an experienced Procurement Engineer to join its team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The role supports procurement for construction and electrical projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities for construction and electrical projects.
- Source and evaluate suppliers, subcontractors, materials, and equipment.
- Review technical specifications, bills of quantities, and project requirements.
- Obtain and analyze quotations.
- Prepare technical and commercial comparisons and negotiate competitive terms.
- Issue purchase orders and coordinate with engineering, project, and finance teams.
- Monitor deliveries, procurement schedules, and supplier performance.
- Ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and project requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Five years of relevant procurement experience.
- Experience in construction or contracting projects with National Grid Saudi, SEC, or SE is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and technical materials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
- Good command of English.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple procurement requirements and meet project deadlines.
Work Arrangement
- The position is full-time and on-site in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
