Job Summary
The role supports procurement for low- to non-critical goods and services.
The position applies company procurement policies and procedures while protecting confidentiality and impartiality.
The role focuses on quality, timely supply, and cost effectiveness of procured materials and services.
Key Accountabilities
- Handle the complete procurement cycle for low- to non-critical goods and services within time, cost, quality, and specification requirements.
- Seek qualified sources by monitoring local market developments to support uninterrupted supply.
- Evaluate supplier performance and recommend improvement areas to superiors.
- Analyze offers by comparing specifications, prices, payment terms, and delivery dates, and propose the best supplier bid.
- Assist superiors and end users with cost development under established costing procedures.
- Review product catalogues, trade journals, and publications to maintain technical knowledge of goods and services.
- Coordinate with company departments, sections, and external suppliers to expedite procurement and follow up on order status.
- Maintain procurement information in computer-based systems and paper filing systems for document retrieval.
- Perform related duties assigned by superiors to support group targets and programs.
- Participate in on-the-job training for trainees and newly hired personnel within the section.
