- Collins aerospace is looking to hire Machine Operator - Shotpeen; you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the robotic shot peening process as required.
- Work Shift: Weekend Night (Friday-Sunday) 6:00 pm - 6:00 am)
What You Will Do
- Setup equipment by loading and unloading of robotic shotpeen work centers.
- Follow part process techniques, operation sketches and special handler instructions, to include, but not limited to loading/unloading of shot peen machines and airflow, intensity and pressure techniques
- Monitor and optimize efficiencies of the automated line
- Read OP sketches and work instructions to identify with requirements
- Minimize and mitigate machine downtime through the use of the ANDON system
- Maintain acceptable production, quality levels, and departmental equipment, as well as practice safety in the workplace and maintain good housekeeping
- Support and promote continuous improvement, 5S activities and Standard Work Development in the cell
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Qualifications You Must Have
- High school diploma, with a minimum of one year of relevant manufacturing experience.
- Strong PC skills and understanding of written work instructions.
- Demonstrated experience in material handling and hoist operations required
- The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP
- Qualifications We Prefer
- Demonstrated ability to operate and use an overhead crane in a safe manner.
