A global engineering and project delivery consultancy is seeking an experienced Process Engineer for the launch of a new electric powertrain manufacturing facility.
The role supports an automotive client scaling production of electric drive systems, including e-motors, inverters, and integrated e-drive assemblies.
This is a new-production-line lifecycle role rather than a maintenance or business-as-usual manufacturing position.
Scope of work
- Support the complete lifecycle of a new production line from equipment installation and commissioning through process qualification.
- Support run-at-rate, PPAP, Start of Production, and ramp-up to full-scale manufacturing.
- Own a production process at rate through hands-on production-floor experience.
- Apply automotive quality methods including PFMEA, control plans, 8D, root cause analysis, APQP, and PPAP.
Experience and qualifications
- An MSc or equivalent engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronic, manufacturing, materials, or industrial engineering is required.
- Five to ten years of process engineering experience in high-volume manufacturing is required.
- Experience in automotive powertrain or components, electric motors, electronics, or comparable takt-driven assembly is required.
- Hands-on production-floor experience owning a process at rate is required.
- Clear written and verbal communication in English is required.
Contract and location
- The position is based at a site north of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
- The role is a contract position until the end of 2027, with a view to extension.
- The company will provide work visa support.
