Provide direct supervision of HR Team Lead(s) and/or senior individual contributors; provide indirect supervision of a team of individual contributors, including performance management, development, and coaching
Monitor HR operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards; stay current on legislative and regulatory changes and their impact on organizational practices
Conduct regular reviews and audits of operational processes to identify and mitigate compliance risks
Provide guidance to Operating Company partners on legislative or compliance updates affecting their business
Maintain accurate reporting and tracking of data relevant to functional areas for inquiries or audits from regulatory agencies
Identify and drive best practices, standardization, reporting, and process improvements to deliver operational excellence to Operating Company customers and partners
Promote awareness of compliance and/or process or policy updates impacting functional areas; offer and conduct training to field partners as needed
Serve as primary point of contact for internal and external audits related to regulatory requirements or investigations within the functional area
Serve as escalation point of contact for the team and customers for any issues the Team Lead is unable to resolve
Manage third-party vendor relationships, including monitoring billing and performance, maintaining partnerships, and holding vendors accountable to pre-determined service level agreements and key performance indicators
Build and maintain strong working relationships with Operating Company customers and partners; align HR processes and services to the strategic needs of the Operating Companies
Consult with Operating Companies to provide solutions and improved processes as needed
Assign priority work projects, review work in progress, and align resources to ensure adequate staffing levels
Promote a fun, inclusive, and supportive team culture where new ideas are welcomed
Perform additional duties as assigned
Direct supervisory responsibility for one or more Team Leads and/or elevated roles; indirect supervision of a team of individual contributors
Establish operational and team objectives and goals
Provide performance management and development of Team Leads and individual contributors, including conducting performance reviews and personal development plan coaching
Conduct interviews and make hiring decisions for team positions
Assess team and resource needs through monitoring workload, volume, data analysis, and overall quality
Make decisions related to the operations of the team(s) and resource allocations
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred
5+ years of business/operations and/or HR operations or generalist experience
Prior management experience required
Experience in building and providing consistent and compliant HR-related programs
Knowledge of HR Records, I-9 compliance, employment screening, and/or other HR compliance or operational functions preferred
