About the Role
KATIM develops secure communication products and solutions across networks, ultra-secure mobile devices, applications, and satellite communications.
The Principal Test Engineer works in the Product Prototyping team and tests RF and SDR systems from system requirements through end-to-end validation.
Responsibilities
- Translate system-level requirements into measurable test cases.
- Specify test cases and verification procedures with system architects, waveform designers, and software and hardware teams.
- Perform end-to-end testing on laboratory and field setups and produce status and test reports.
- Evaluate system performance, compliance, and compatibility and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Characterize RF and SDR system components.
- Build the hardware and software laboratory resources required for project testing.
Basic Qualifications
- B.Eng. or M.S. degree in Electronic or Systems Engineering.
- At least 10 years of test and measurement experience focused on RF radio systems.
- Experience with laboratory planning and budgeting and software/hardware integration.
- Experience with test case automation.
- Hands-on experience integrating software and hardware in a laboratory, including troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications
- RF fundamentals and experience using spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and channel simulators.
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or an equivalent programming language.
- Ability to manage multiple complex, parallel tasks.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

- English proficiency is required for all roles unless otherwise stated in the job posting.
