Principal Structural Engineer – Marine

Expleo have an exciting opportunity for experienced Principal Structural Engineers.

Based in Expleo offices / Hybrid, you will be assigned to a major new defence project.

Both outside IR35 and Permanent roles are available

Responsibilities within your role will include (but not limited to ):-

• Leading the UK based Team to understand technical issues / specifications and requirements
• Produce solutions to engineering problems
• Producing analysis for Marine Structures both with FEM and by hand calculation
• Approval of Analysis and Reports and FEM
• Preparation of reports
• Preparation of FE Models in ANSYS

The successful candidate will be Degree qualified in a suitable STEM subject.

The successful candidate have the following .

• Experience in Checking ANSYS models.
• Experience in Approving analysis and FEM .
• Microsoft Office Skills.
• Be a clear, logical thinker
• Ability to articulate complex engineering issues in terms that are simple to understand

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 15 years experience.

They will have worked in a Marine environment.

They will have experience in PD5500 and similar codes

• Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will need to be a UK National with m inimum SC Clearance will be required .
