MRB Design Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for several Aerospace MRB Design Engineers to work within our ever expanding MRB Team at our Expleo offices, with the opportunity of working remotely from home.

You will report to Technical Authority for Design & the Unit Delivery Leader for MRB.

• Carry out design analysis and creating design dispositions for assembly manufacturing non-conformances, assessing different repair scenarios for fit, form and function.
• Processing detail and sub assembly concessions from risk sharing partners and Final Assembly Lines.
• Ability to identify the most efficient methods for analysis whilst ensuring adherence to relevant airworthiness and customer procedural requirements.
• Able to liaise with multiple functions/suppliers (e.g. Design/Stress approvers) to ensure most appropriate design solution is met with consideration to cost, time, performance and installation requirements.
• Ability to explain and escalate critical issues and an ability to mentor others
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
• CATIA V5
• Knowledge of Safran MRB methodologies

• Knowledge of Safran processes and procedures relating to concessions
• Preferably held a level of delegated approval on Safran Concessions (T200)
• Experience of automation of repeatable tasks / processes.
• Experience working on Safran concessions either directly for Safran or the Supply Chain, for a minimum of three years and ideally having held a level of delegated technical approval
• Knowledge across Safran programmes, preferably with both metallic and composite capabilities.
• Understanding of material properties, production & manufacturing methods and practices and their effect on aircraft performance.
• Knowledge & experience of Safran concession repair philosophy
• Working knowledge of CATIA V5 for interrogation and drawing/model modification.
• Knowledge across Safran programmes, preferably with both metallic and composite capabilities is a benefit but not essential.
