About the Role

Responsibilities
- Lead all or part of technical proposals and develop discipline execution strategy
- Plan man hour budgets, schedules, manpower loadings and staffing requirements
- Mentor/train and support delivery of training
- Develop environmental strategies for project approvals and coordinate regulatory approval processes
- Conduct Environmental HAZID (ENVID) workshops and develop environmental risk registers
- Manage a team of professional and technical people
- Oversee implementation of Environmental Management Systems and plans
- Undertake site audits on EMS/EMPs
Requirements
- Engineering Degree in Environmental Science or related discipline from an accredited University
- Extensive work experience at a senior level within the industry
- Relevant years’ experience in Environmental engineering studies for Municipal, Industrial and Hydrocarbon and Petrochemical facilities
- Post Graduate Qualification in Environmental Studies (Masters or Doctorate) is desirable
- Experience of working in a regulatory authority is desirable

Key Responsibilities
- Supports proposals by developing the discipline execution strategy, estimating costs, writing proposal content.
- Will be called upon to lead all or part of the technical proposal.
- Planning of man hour budgets, schedules, manpower loadings and staffing requirements.
- Ensures the project work is covered for vacation and unplanned absences.
- Mentors/trains and supports the delivery of training.
- Works to resolve inter discipline, vendor, and customer issues.
- Ensures discipline technical work and team activities meet all HSE requirements.
- Develop environmental strategies for project approvals.
- Co ordinate and manage regulatory approval processes.
- Environmental engineering Deliverables in Conceptual through Detail Design.
- Conduct Environmental HAZID (ENVID) workshops and develop environmental risk registers.
- Manage a team of professional and technical people.
Industry Specific Experience
- Extensive work experience at a senior level within the industry.
- Relevant years’ experience in Environmental engineering studies for Municipal, Industrial and Hydrocarbon and Petrochemical facilities.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training
- Engineering Degree in Environmental Science or other related discipline from an accredited University.
- Post Graduate Qualification in Environmental Studies (Masters or Doctorate) is desirable.
- Experience of working in a regulatory authority is desirable.

- Permitting studies including ESHIA, plant environmental audits.
- Environmental impact modelling.
- Solid and Hazardous Waste management studies.
- Water and Wastewater environmental pollution control.
- Discharge and emissions assessments including MARPOL.
- Master planning.
- Sustainability Assessment.
- Water and Waste Recover Recycle Reuse studies.
- Air pollution control studies.
Quality Assurance
- Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance systems.
- Work with project managers to ensure projects are executed in full compliance with WPMP and EMS.
Safety
- Responsible for personal safety safe working practices.
- Promoting health, safety and environmental awareness.
