Own the technical side of the bid process for ICT infrastructure and physical security or ELV systems.

Key responsibilities
- Analyse RFPs, RFIs, tender specifications, drawings, and site conditions to identify scope, gaps, risks, and requirements.
- Design end-to-end ICT infrastructure and physical security or ELV solutions.
- Prepare technical designs, AutoCAD drawings, BOQs, material take-offs, compliance matrices, and technical proposals.
- Perform calculations covering CCTV, VMS storage, bandwidth, PoE, UPS, fibre links, racks, heat loads, cable lengths, and pathways.
- Select products based on technical requirements, cost, lifecycle, licensing, and client standards.
- Conduct site surveys, walk-downs, and as-built verification.
- Present solutions to clients, consultants, and end users during technical clarification meetings.
- Coordinate with OEMs and distributors for technical support, pricing, product information, and authorisations.
- Support demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and pilot setups.
- Complete technical handover and support submittals, RFIs, and design changes during execution.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in presales, solution design, or design engineering within a systems integrator, ELV contractor, or technology vendor.
- Experience managing tenders end-to-end, including solution design, BOQs, compliance statements, and technical proposals.
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling, copper and fibre infrastructure, LAN/WAN, switching, routing, VLANs, PoE, Wi-Fi, and data centre or server room infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of CCTV, VMS, access control, intrusion detection, intercom, barriers, turnstiles, and ELV systems.
- Experience with Milestone, Genetec, Bosch, Axis, Hanwha, Hikvision, or equivalent VMS platforms.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and professional technical drawing production.
- Strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Familiarity with relevant ICT, security, and ELV standards and local regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent experience.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to client and project sites.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines while coordinating with project stakeholders.
