Accountant

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations in Odoo ERP, including transaction processing, GL, AP, and AR.
• Perform complex and high-volume customer, vendor, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and adjustments.
• Support month-end and year-end closing and accounts finalization.
• Prepare trial balances, financial schedules, and supporting documents for financial statements.

Tax, Audit, and Analysis

• Handle VAT transactions, VAT reporting, and tax invoices in compliance with ZATCA requirements in Saudi Arabia.
• Support audit preparation and coordination, including schedules and responses to audit queries.
• Prepare financial reports, analyze reconciliations, and investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Use advanced Excel formulas, Pivot Tables, lookups, and reconciliation analysis.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum four-year degree or equivalent recognized qualification.
• At least 3 years of hands-on accounting experience in Saudi Arabia.
• At least 3 years of hands-on Odoo ERP experience in accounting or finance; this is mandatory with no exception.
• IFRS certification and strong knowledge of accounting principles.
• Strong experience in GL, AP, AR, accounts finalization, financial reporting, complex reconciliations, and VAT and ZATCA compliance.

Additional Requirements

• Experience supporting month-end and year-end closing and audits.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, lookups, and reconciliation analysis.
• Ability to independently analyze and resolve complex accounting discrepancies.
• Relevant academic and professional certificates must be verifiable.
• SOCPA registration or membership is an added advantage.
