Position Overview
- The CAMeL Lab seeks a post doctoral researcher to work in any of the lab research areas, develop open source tools and resources, and publish.
- CAMeL's mission is research and education in AI, focusing on NLP, computational linguistics, and data science.
- Main research areas: Arabic NLP (orthography normalization, grammatical error correction, morphology tagging, syntax parsing, readability assessment), machine translation, and text analytics.
Qualifications
- PhD in computer science or computer engineering with previous experience in NLP; or computational linguistics/language technologies degrees
- Strong programming skills and machine learning experience
- Research publication record appropriate for the hiring rank
- Knowledge of Arabic language is preferred, but not required
- Previous work on Arabic NLP is preferred but not required
