Position Overview

  • The Khalil Research Group at NYU Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Senior Research Scientist to work on the development and application of covalent organic frameworks (COFs) for advanced water treatment and energy storage solutions.
  • The successful candidate will join a young yet highly energetic team dedicated to leveraging chemistry, reaction engineering, and manufacturing principles to address pressing challenges in the water and energy sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent research on high throughput COF synthesis, focusing on their scalability and practical application.
  • Build automated setups, design devices, process materials, conduct experiments.
  • Publish high quality research and contribute to the group’s funding efforts.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in their field (not including the years obtaining the PhD or equivalent terminal degree).
  • Extensive research and publication in well known journals and conference papers or similar research accomplishments.
  • Excellent device engineering, experimental, and characterization skills relevant to the project.
