- Design and develop an employer outreach strategy to create a pipeline of jobs and internships for NYUAD students
- Lead the employer relations team in executing outreach strategy, focusing on UAE and regional market
- Oversee all employer events on campus including career fairs and networking events
- Manage the employer interface for Handshake career management software
- Conduct 1:1 appointments and walk in coaching meetings with students on career topics
- Oversee policy and planning of on campus student employment program
- Hire, train, and supervise three full time staff
Requirements
- Master's degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs, Human Resources, Counseling, or related
- Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in career development, employer relations, coaching, student affairs, business development, recruitment, or equivalent
- Experience establishing and strengthening relationships with local and global employers
- Experience counseling and advising students individually and in groups on recruitment/job search strategies
- Advanced experience managing contact management software, ideally Handshake
- Experience developing and supervising full time administrative and professional staff

Position Summary
- NYU Abu Dhabi seeks to appoint an Associate Director, Employer Relations of the Career Development Center (CDC), reporting to the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and Director, Career Development Center.
- The role leads development and direction of programs and services for employers to hire students for internships and full time jobs, while leading a team of three full time staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Employer Outreach: Design employer outreach strategy; lead team in execution; oversee employer events; manage Handshake interface; ensure reporting; build talent pipelines; adapt strategy based on trends.
- Student Employment: Oversee policy and structure of Student Employment; support regulation of on campus hiring; troubleshoot internal hiring system.
- Career Coaching and Advising: Conduct 1:1 appointments and walk in coaching; support career communities; oversee professional conduct policy; deliver programming on job markets.
- Staff Management: Hire, train, and supervise three full time staff; conduct regular check ins; ensure alignment with CDC goals.
Qualifications
- Required Education: Master's degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs, Human Resources, Counseling, or related.
- Required Experience: Minimum 5 years progressive leadership in career development, employer relations, coaching, student affairs, business development, or recruitment.
- Experience establishing relationships with employers; counseling students; managing contact management software (Handshake preferred); supervising staff.
- Preferred Experience: Experience leading and training a team; creating student employment policy; knowledge of UAE employment landscape; network of industry contacts in UAE.
