Requirements
- PhD in Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or closely related field with strong experimental research background
- Less than 5 years post receipt of PhD
- Experience with optical systems, lasers, spectroscopy, quantum optics, spin physics, magnetic resonance, or related spin based quantum platforms
- Demonstrated ability to design, build, integrate, and troubleshoot scientific instruments, including experimental control, electronics, data acquisition, and automation
- Strong commitment to collaborative research and undergraduate training

Position Overview
- The Interdisciplinary Quantum Lab at NYU Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Post Doctoral Associate in Experimental Quantum Science.
- The successful candidate will pursue research in quantum optics, spin based systems, and advanced experimental instruments.
Responsibilities
- Pursue research spanning quantum optics, spin based systems, and design/construction of advanced experimental instruments.
- Contribute to development of optical and spin control experiments, precision measurement systems, and custom scientific instrumentation.
- Collaborate with faculty, researchers, and students across NYUAD.
- Advance the Lab's research program and contribute to collaborative projects.

Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or closely related field with strong experimental research background.
- Less than 5 years post receipt of PhD.
- Experience with optical systems, lasers, spectroscopy, quantum optics, spin physics, magnetic resonance, or related spin based quantum platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to design, build, integrate, and troubleshoot scientific instruments.
- Strong commitment to collaborative research and undergraduate training.
Terms of Employment
- Appointment for one year, with possible extensions.
- Very competitive salary with additional benefits including housing allowance, medical insurance, annual home leave allowance, and dependent private school fees.
