Overview
- The Center for Interacting Urban Networks, NYU Abu Dhabi, seeks a Post doctoral associate for interdisciplinary research on the Mobility theme.
- Research areas include monitoring, modeling, and controlling multimodal transportation systems, new vehicle technologies, urban mobility, traffic flow theory and data science, and cybersecurity impact on transportation.
Responsibilities
- Undertake independent high level scientific research.
- Publish and present results in high quality conferences and journals (at least two journal papers expected per year).
- Provide support in planning research projects, preparing proposals, and searching for open calls.
- Assist in teaching courses, including conducting labs, holding office hours, and grading.
- Provide mentoring and support to students.
Qualifications
- PhD in engineering, computer science, urban science, applied mathematics, or related field with less than five years post PhD.
- Experience in transportation, particularly urban science.
- Excellent communication skills in English, strong quantitative skills, computational and data management skills, scientific creativity.
- Strong mathematics training is particularly encouraged.
