Planning Engineer role supporting Oil & Gas EPC projects in Qatar.
The role creates project schedules, monitors progress, and supports safe, timely, and budget-compliant project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules for Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- Monitor progress, identify schedule risks, and track project milestones.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, site teams, and clients.
- Perform schedule analysis and recommend recovery plans.
- Prepare look-ahead plans and resource-loaded schedules.
- Support planning meetings and client progress reviews.
- Ensure planning activities follow project requirements and company standards.
- Use Primavera P6 or MS Project for planning activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 10–15 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- GCC experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
- Hands-on Primavera P6 experience is required; MS Project knowledge is an advantage.
- Good understanding of the EPC project life cycle.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment.
