We are currently seeking a Veterinary Pharmacy Assistant to support the pharmacy team in the day-to-day management of veterinary medicines and pharmaceutical supplies.

About the Role
We are currently seeking a Veterinary Pharmacy Assistant to support the pharmacy team in the day-to-day management of veterinary medicines and pharmaceutical supplies.
The successful candidate will assist with medication handling, inventory control, stock management, documentation, and maintaining proper storage conditions under the supervision of the responsible veterinary pharmacist or veterinarian.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the veterinary pharmacist with daily pharmacy operations.
- Receive, organize, store, and issue veterinary medicines and pharmaceutical products.
- Assist with preparing and dispensing medications under the supervision of the responsible pharmacist or veterinarian.
- Maintain accurate inventory and stock records.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with replenishment and purchase requests.
- Check expiry dates and ensure proper stock rotation using FEFO (First Expired, First Out) principles where applicable.
- Ensure veterinary medicines are stored according to required storage and temperature conditions.
- Assist with regular stock counts and inventory reconciliation.
- Maintain proper documentation for controlled, restricted, and other veterinary medicines as required.
- Report expired, damaged, missing, or improperly stored medicines immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
