Responsibilities
- Ensure clinic or procedure room is fully equipped with necessary instruments, devices, and supplies.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, medical history, fall risk evaluations, and infectious disease screening.
- Support physicians during patient examinations and clinic based procedures, prioritizing patient comfort and safety.
- Coordinate and schedule follow up appointments, referrals, and diagnostic tests.
- Monitor and manage medical supplies and equipment, ensuring OPD is adequately stocked.
- Accurately record vital signs and anthropometric measurements, and document patient information in the system.
- Collaborate with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare team members to support patient care plans.
- Perform simple dressing changes and administer topical applications and eye drops.
- Conduct point of care testing as necessary.
- Assist patients with mobility needs, including transferring and use of mobility aids.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience as a Patient Care Assistant
- Training program as Patient Care Assistant / Diploma in Nursing or in the same field
- License from country of origin and license for practice as per regional health regulatory authority (e.g., SCFHS/DHA)
- BLS, ACLS and other LSTC courses as applicable
- Fluency in spoken and written English; Arabic is desirable

Job Purpose

- Conducts comprehensive assessments of patients, including vital signs, medical history, fall risk evaluations, and screening for symptoms of infectious diseases.
- Supports physicians during patient examinations and clinic based procedures.
- Coordinates and schedules follow up appointments, referrals, and diagnostic tests.
- Monitors and manages medical supplies and equipment, ensuring OPD is adequately stocked.
- Accurately records vital signs and anthropometric measurements, documents patient information.

Experience
- 1 year of experience as a Patient Care Assistant; Transition to practice program for fresh graduates from relevant program.
Education
- Training program as Patient Care Assistant / Diploma in Nursing or in the same field.
Language
- Fluency in spoken and written English is essential, and Arabic is desirable.
Licenses / Certifications
- License from the country of origin, License for practice as per the regional health regulatory authority e.g. (SCFHS / DHA), BLS, ACLS and other LSTC courses as applicable.
