- Receive and interview patients or their representatives seeking access to hospital services
- Verify if patients possess required documents (Royal Orders, Medical Reports, etc.)
- Verify patient eligibility and ensure patient information sheet is complete
- Register and scan related documents in the electronic referral system
- Attend to inquiries of the public pertaining to Patient Acceptance Services
- Coordinate with other hospital staff regarding patient referrals
- Participate in self and hospital quality improvement plans
- Follow all hospital related policies and procedures

- Experience with electronic referral systems

Job Summary
- Receives patients or their representatives seeking access to services of Hospital s. Informs them about Hospital policies and procedures and acts as a liaison officer between patients and Patient Acceptance staff.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Receives and interviews patients or their representatives seeking access to the services of Hospital s.
- Verifies if patients concerned possess the required documents (Royal Orders, Medical Reports and other relevant medical information, i.e., x rays, pathological slides).
- Verifies patient s eligibility and ensures the patient information sheet is completely filled up.
- Registers, scans all related documents pertaining to the referral in the electronic referral system, and gives instructions to call to inquire about the outcome of the referral.
- Attends to any inquiries of the public pertaining to the Patient Acceptance Services.
- Coordinates with other hospital staff regarding patient referrals.
- Participates in Self and Hospital quality improvement plans preferred.
- Follows all Hospital s related Policies and Procedures.
- Participates in self and others' education, training and development, as applicable.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
