Job Overview
- Provides outpatient pharmacy services, assembles and dispenses medications under pharmacist supervision.
Duties
- Assemble and dispense pharmacy medication orders under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Perform repackaging of oral dosage forms for outpatient dispensing and label containers.
- Identify and handle nearly expired medications, maintain storage conditions.
- Calculate drug product amounts for prescriptions.
- Arrange medication stocks from medical stockroom to maintain adequate supply.
- Ensure patient safety and safe medication management.
- Report medication errors and ADR to pharmacy head.
- Educate patients about health conditions, treatments, and preventative measures.
- Maintain stock of Automated Storage and Retrieval Device and coordinate vendor support.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of commonly used non prescription drugs (OTC).
- Knowledge of proper storage and handling of hazardous materials.
- Enroll in continuous education program regarding medication management.
